The Alaska Humanities Forum and the Alaska State Council on the Arts and the Arts and Culture Foundation jointly sponsor the Alaska State Governor’s Awards. Coordinating with the Governor’s Office, the awards are meant to honor significant achievements by Alaskan artists, writers, historians, scholars, humanities and arts institutions and others.
