Cooper Landing Trail Run May 22

Cooper Landing Walkable Communities is hosting a community walk (5K) or run (6CooperLandingTrailRunK or 10K) on Sunday, May 22, 2016.


The donation-based events raise money for Cooper Landing’s walkable community program.

Registration: Starts at 9:30 a.m.

Start: Walkers begin at 10:30. The runners begin at 11:00 a.m.

Course: Start at the Cooper Landing Community Hall about .6 miles down Bean Creek Rd. The course follows Bean Creek road back to the highway then follows the Safety Path on the north side of the highway to end at the overlook near Our Point of View.

Finish: “Our Point of View” is a beautiful knoll overlooking the Kenai River valley above MP 45.2 of the Sterling Highway. A shuttle is available to transport participants back to the start (and your cars) at the Community Hall.

Awards: 12:30 p.m. at the Community Hall.

Prizes and goodies are available at the awards ceremony after everyone is finished.
